Why apply to iMADdu? What is in it for me?

iMADdu is looking for talented, motivated students looking to “Make a Difference” in their lives and in the success of a small business or non-profit.

Students participating in the Student Apprenticeship Program will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to personally learn from an established entrepreneur.  Unlike many internships, students in the program will have the opportunity to take on substantive projects, rather than administrative work.  They will be able to take on important projects independently, the success or failure of which will significantly impact the organization.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to form a personal mentoring relationship with a successful entrepreneur. Students will be able to learn through direct observation, by asking questions, and by participating in ongoing projects.

Students will be matched with an entrepreneur and business or nonprofit that matches their personality, interest, and skills.  However, the skills and lessons they learn will be applicable to whatever career or field they choose to pursue.

Student Apprenticeship Program? It all comes down to this!

iMADdu’s Student Apprenticeship Program (SAP) is a 10 to 12-week long partnership between a student and an entrepreneur managing a small business or nonprofit organization.

Qualified students are matched with an entrepreneur based upon their personalities, interests, and needs.  The entrepreneur acts as a mentor to the student, providing personal support and encouragement to the Apprentice, as well as allowing them to gain hands-on business experience.  The student in return provides substantial projects support to the entrepreneur.
