In Hollywood, there are so many celebrity chefs that you hear people talk about. One of the first that comes to mind is Wolfgang Puck, who has his own restaurants, mainly in Los Angeles, but some all around the U.S.; even one right here in my hometown of Washington, D.C. Other celebrity chefs include Paula Deen, Emeril Lagasse, Giada de Laurentiis, Rachael Ray, and many more who happen to have their own show. They are all entrepreneurs, they all have culinary education backgrounds, so why are the ones listed above featured on their own show while some others could be struggling? This is a prime example of just because you have the education and expertise, your personality, the way you look, and the way you carry yourself can play a big part in how successful you are. Paula Deen’s southern charm keep people tuning in to her to see what “cute” thing she might say next. Rachael Ray is like the girl next door who you can relate to but can cook very well. This type of example proves that no matter what line of business you may want to be in, you have to have all the standard qualifications plus personality, professional looks, and a little something extra to stand out, make a name for yourself and be truly successful.
