As a freshman I feel that I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work with iMADdu for the summer of 2012 as a Marketing Apprentice!
I admit, I have little skill and knowledge about marketing and consulting in the professional business world. The little I do know is starting up my own club and volunteering and helping start up organizations such as HOSPICE to grow in my community. This is why I am very excited to work with iMADdu this summer because I feel that the organization not only wants to help other small organizations grow, but also foster growth and leadership within each of the apprentices in the program. It is rare for an organization to cater to clients as well as try and help interns to truly develop by immersing them in projects with so much trust. Some of my friends from previous internships or apprenticeships from different organizations told me that they were promised projects where they could be directly involved and learn, but in the end, were given trivial tasks such as filing to even doing the dishes in the break rooms after lunch time. I am excited to learn the ins and outs of entrepreneurship and consulting as well as the confidence to know that I can apply these skills in the future to whatever endeavors I choose to do.
