Whether you like it or not, you will fall into certain routines in life. Although it may take a while sometimes to fall into routine, it also takes a while to sometimes fall out of routine.
Although the nature of work at iMADdu is not exactly the same every single day, the routine that I fell into is going into work on-site two times a week. However, I switched to working remotely every day of the week. It has only been a week since I made this switch, but it feels odd already!
I no longer have to double check my on-site mailbox system. I no longer see and greet all the faces I used to on the mornings in the office. I no longer have to pack up all my papers and carry them from home to the office and back. This may sound like a great relief, but it’s not as sweet as it sounds.
Not having a mailbox means no hard copies of things I need – only electronic. A very green movement, but the habit cannot be replaced. I only greet myself in the mirror in the mornings. As for my papers, because I do not have to take them to different locations, they sit scattered across my desk and the attached island.
Sounds like I’m going through MADPAD withdrawal. To say the least, that is exactly what I’m going through. MADPAD, I miss you.
Routine. You are a strange thing.
