I was never one to frequently check their e-mail – once a day was usually the norm. If there is one personal change that my experience with iMADdu has made, it’s checking e-mail. Every day to get work done for iMADdu, I started off with checking e-mail. It was a habit I was forced to get into. Now, it’s second nature.
The first thing I do when I turn on my computer is check e-mail. Even on weekends now, I open up the iMADdu e-mail account just to check up on what’s going on. Sometimes this is intentional, sometimes it is not. I never understood business people, like my father, who would check his e-mail during his off-hours. Now I not only understand, but unashamedly do it as well.
I will be suspended from the iMADdu e-mail account soon as I will be leaving soon to graduate! I can foresee myself checking my own personal e-mail account to maintain this new habit. Unfortunately, I will not have as many important e-mails coming to me in bulk on a daily basis. Nonetheless, it is strange how work can influence your personal life and habits.
