Brainwashed…Stephanie Yang

“Make a difference.” “Made a difference.” “It makes a difference.” “Making a difference.” These are just a few variations of the same message which has been engraved into my head.

I spend my weekends working with my church youth group. As a teacher, I often speak in front of them and lead discussion topics with the students. I didn’t notice it before, but a few weeks ago someone pointed out to me that I say variations of “making a difference.” Smiling, I answered, “ It’s important to make a difference!” Since then, I paid closer attention to how I speak and caught myself throwing out the phrase of “making a difference.”

My students laughed at me saying I was such a walking billboard for the organization I apprentice at on a regular basis. Ironically, this was not intentional in any manner.

About two weeks into my term with iMADdu, looking at green balloons while working out reminded me of iMADdu. It was subconscious brand loyalty. Now, this subconscious brand loyalty has been taken to another level. Whether I am a walking billboard intentionally or not, it is without a doubt that iMADdu has brainwashed me in the best of ways. iMADdu’s mission of making a difference has been transposed into my life’s day to day activities. It looks like my life’s mission now is to make a difference. Thanks iMADdu for brainwashing me to make a difference each day.
