We will make plans and try to stick to them. However, sometimes things will not go according to plan. This is a natural occurrence and we have got to learn to accept it and learn how to think on our feet to deal with it.
When dealing with personal matters, as things don’t go as planned I can easily deal with it because I am in charge of my own life and my plans don’t directly affect anyone else. When dealing with other obligations, as things don’t go as planned I can easily deal with it because I am familiar with how things work or because I am in charge. However, when dealing with business matters, as things don’t go as planned I start to panic because I begin to think of how this change in plans creates a chain reaction of change in plans for others as well.
I have discovered this weakness of mine and I am learning and will have to master the concept of quickly finding a solution to a sudden turn in plans in an environment that I am not fully comfortable with. Plans are plans – they will not always be followed, sometimes by choice and sometimes not by choice.
