Transition Period…Stephanie Yang

Balancing and keeping my work, school, and personal life separate was never a big challenge for me. However, this has been growing more difficult with time. I am now practicing how to continue to keep them separate entities in my life and balance them.

As time goes by, I pick up more responsibilities. As I get older, I have to meet higher expectations. Working with iMADdu has contributed to this and I am glad that I am able to have an opportunity to practice creating this balance. I can’t imagine how I would have functioned if I was just thrown out into my career and had to find balance.

The change in title from student to whatever position it is that you hold is not simply a title change, but a lifestyle change. The change in lifestyle when leaving college and entering the workforce also makes it difficult to find this balance we aim for in life.

I have seen many friends struggle because of the sudden change in lifestyle. It is my last semester as a college student and I am grateful that I was able to have the opportunity to have a transition period from school to career. This transition experience is not something that everyone has the opportunity to have.
