All throughout our education, we are given directions. Assignments are given with directions on how it is to be completed. We have grown so accustomed to this life style. It is not uncommon to receive the same treatment in the workplace. The iMADdu experience however, is uncommon.
Although there are times when specific directions been to be given, Mona strays away from outlining a specific way to perform a task. She installs a level of trust that the task can and will be completed. During my experience, Mona has usually told me what needs to get done and what the end result needs to be. How I get there is up to me…
This freedom allows me to work with my strengths and be as efficient as possible. While doing so, I am learning by experimentation. I display the skill sets I have while building other skills through working.
This is an extremely valuable part of my experience with iMADdu that cannot be attained at many workplaces, especially as an undergraduate student. For this, I am grateful.
