Technology Optimization…Stephanie Yang

Technology Optimization…Stephanie Yang

Sometimes I feel like technology ruins people. It makes active and independent people lazy and dependent. It takes over people’s lives and distracts them from doing things. However, when used correctly, I strongly believe that technology is truly one of the greatest innovations. At iMADdu, I find that we really utilize technology the way it should be.

In the office we have all the necessities to work comfortably. The machines we have are simple and do not have extra miscellaneous options that we do not need. Backups are always available incase our first option fails to operate at its optimal level.

Aside from machines, the main program that we use is a project manager that can be accessed on any computer with internet connection. We generally use this to keep track of our assignments and the progress or status of our assignments. The project manager also allows us to share files and communicate with each other in an indirect manner.

We also utilize the internet to reach out to people outside of the company. Social media/networking is second nature to us. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, and blogging. Furthermore, we take visuals to the next step by recording videos and not just taking pictures. Testimonials are both written and recorded to reach out to different audiences. And like any other major organization, we have personalized e-mail accounts.

Sure, any organization can attain all the things that we have. However, how an organization utilizes these things is what makes the difference. iMADdu is about efficiency and wasting time is not an option. When we use technology, we do it to benefit efficiency and the organization. End of story.
