The Ability to Be Creative…Gracie Boliek

“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” –Mary Lou Cook

Since my apprenticeship began with iMADdu, I have learned that being able to be creative in a workplace is extremely important. Whether the project at hand requires creativity or not, it’s good to always try to add something to it. Getting into a dull routine is never fun or rewarding, so creativity is a must. For me, being creative and using my creativity makes me feel as though I am really making a difference. It makes me feel as though I am bringing something to the table that no one else can: my point of view. People are grateful for creativity, and may really like an idea you come up with. If not, then you have an opportunity to learn from the mistake.

Creativity can also result in some of your best work and ideas. With new social media becoming a huge seller in the image of a company, creativity is a key to standing out. What makes your marketing different from the rest of the business world? Today’s economy has a vicious appetite for innovation and new ideas. In order to be noticed, there must be imagination behind your business.

“Imagination rules the world.” –Napoleon Bonaparte
