This past week, George Mason University Men’s Basketball was facing Virginia Commonwealth Univeristy and they were down with a few minutes to go. Usually, these games end in fouling the opponent’s team and eventually, lose the game. However, this game was different. GMU never gave up as we hit the buzzer shot to win the game. After VCU missed one of the two three throws, GMU had a chance to tie or win the game. Since there was only two or three seconds left, only chance that Mason had was to go for the half court shot. And luckily, Mason made that difficult shot and won the game against a big, in-state rivary team. As a result, the point I was trying to make was that to never give up even if you think it’s impossible to do it. If there is any slim chance of success, then go for it until it ends or somebody tells you to give up.
This week, I had to research on a topic that I couldn’t find the answer from previous week. Although I thought it was possible to find the answer, I couldn’t find it. But this week, I took a different approach and finally, I was able to find the answer to my task. Even though it took longer than I thought, I was pleased that I was able to come to a conclusion. If I would have gave up on this task, then maybe I would done for other tasks and learned nothing out of it.
