What have I learned about myself since working at iMADdu? There’s always room for improvement. Too often I’ve found that I don’t keep things in the proper perspective, and fail to notice the times when I need to improve certain aspects of my life. It’s always helpful to take a backseat, and look at yourself from an outside perspective.
Am I making the best use of my time? How are my relationships with my friends and family? Am I happy with the way that I’m living right now? Taking the time to answer questions like these about yourself can be difficult, but it is very rewarding. It might cause you to change jobs, start or end a serious relationship, or move to another city. It’s too easy, particularly when you have a full-time job, to get caught in a rut, and not take the time to think about anything going on in your life. Most people prefer to just let their lives pass them by, and not think about these kinds of things.
Much of the time this type of reflection will be depressing, because you realize that the opportunities out there are limitless, and we are all just barely scratching the surface. The right path may not be the easiest path, but going in that direction will make you feel all the more fulfilled in your life. Making the hard choices, and seeking to continually improve myself is what I’ve taken from iMADdu. I hope future apprentices will feel as fortunate as I have.
