What should you do to prepare for the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour?
Students should bring resumes and business cards
Remember to update your resume and print plenty of copies. Bring a stack of business cards with you; this is a great time to network and there’s no telling whom you might meet. Similarly, have your “elevator speech†ready. An elevator speech is a very short (usually 30-second) summation of who you are and what you do or want to do. Make sure you practice this beforehand. Even try it out on roommates, friends and family members.
Look over the list of speakers and panelists
Read my last blog post on THE PANELISTS, and stay tuned for this next one in which I will discuss the speakers. Also, do your own research and develop some questions for them. Then post those questions HERE and they might be answered during the panel.
Come dressed professionally
You may want to dress as you would for an interview or career fair. Again, you never know whom you may meet, and it is better to be overdressed than underdressed.
Know where to go
You can find all parking and location information HERE
Remember that parking in the visitor garages cost $12 for the day and $9 for 4 hours, so bring some cash. Credit cards are not accepted at these garages.
If this is your first time at George Mason University you can print out direction HERE
